On or about Saturday, November 28th, 2020, around 7:20 in the evening, an accident between a commercial van and a car claimed the life of a 62-year-old man. Deputies from Los Angeles County said the accident happened at the intersection of Seco Canyon Road and Guadilamar Drive in Saugus, California.
Authorities said 62-year-old Kelly Blair was killed when his Pontiac Vibe was allegedly broadsided by a commercial van when he was attempting to turn at the intersection. Blair died of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not identify the driver of the commercial van.
Google Maps shows Seco Canyon Road runs north and south with four lanes, while Guadilamar Drive is two lanes that run east and west. The intersection is controlled by a stoplight. Saugus is located in the northern part of Santa Clarita.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
