On or about Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, around 1:11 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 29-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 61 in Winona, Minnesota.
Authorities said 29-year-old Kendra Atherton-Guenther was killed when the vehicle she was in allegedly struck the back of a parked tractor-trailer along Highway 61 near the exchange with Sugar Loaf View Road. Paramedics pronounced Atherton-Guenther dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, Winona is about 116 miles southeast of Minneapolis.
Police are still investigating the accident.
