Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 12th, 2021, around 10:00 in the morning, an accident between a log truck and a pickup truck left a 54-year-old man dead and sent a 46-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened along Highway 103 just outside Etoile in Angelina County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 54-year-old Kenedy Edwards was killed, while 46-year-old Tara Demetriades was injured when Edwards’ log truck allegedly struck Demetriades pickup truck while she was turning. After the initial collision, Edwards’ log truck veered off the side of the roadway and slammed into a tree. Paramedics pronounced Edwards dead a short time after the accident, while Demetriades was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated about 3 miles outside of Etoile in Angelina County, which is about 125 miles north of Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
