On or about Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along State Highway 136 near Fritch, Texas.
Authorities said 37-year-old Kenneth Collins was killed when his car allegedly veered from the southbound lanes and struck a northbound tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Collins dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened a short distance from the Fritch city limits, which is about 35 miles northeast of Amarillo.
