Details:
On or about Monday, July 5th, 2021, around 1:40 in the morning, a single-vehicle accident left a 65-year-old man dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported in the 400 block of the Gulf Freeway (Interstate 45) in Galveston County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 65-year-old Kenneth Pleasant was killed when the Acura SUV he was driving allegedly lost control and skidded off the side of Interstate 45 where it struck a barrier multiple times. Pleasant died of the injuries he sustained when he was ejected from the vehicle the crash. Authorities later determined pleasant had a blood alcohol of .16 at the time of the crash.
Police have not released any more information.
