On or about Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 87 in Newton County, Texas.
Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said 51-year-old Kenneth Woosley was injured when the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer that had slowed or stopped to make a turn along Highway 87. Emergency responders rushed Woosley to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Trout Creek area.
