On or about Thursday, February 4th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a 69-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the exchange of Highway 46 and River Tree Drive in New Braunfels, Texas.

Police officers said 69-year-old Kennon Mulhollan was killed when the vehicle he was in allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and slammed into a utility pole a short distance off the pavement. Mulhollan was ejected from the vehicle in the accident and died of his injuries a short time after paramedics responded to the scene. Officials did not mention any other injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 33 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.

Police are still investigating the accident.
