On or about Tuesday, August 24th, 2021, around 11:10 at night, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a woman and sent another person to the hospital. Authorities said the accident was reported in the 800 block of Trexlertown Road in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania.
Investigators said 49-year-old Kerri Sodl was killed when the motorcycle she was a passenger on allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was turning into a driveway. Sodl died a short time after the collision, while the driver was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, Trexlertown Road runs north and south through Upper Macungie Township, which is situated a short distance southwest of Allentown.
