On or about Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, around 11:15 at night, a serious accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 28-year-old man. Representatives from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 14 in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
Authorities from the Wisconsin State Police said 28-year-old Kevin Jose Irias Martinez was killed when the SUV he was in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 14. Paramedics pronounced Martinez dead of his injuries a short time after the collision, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at or near the intersection with Haight Farm Road.
