On or about Sunday, March 6th, 2022, around 9:30 in the morning, a major two-vehicle accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 25-year-old man. Officials from the ISP said the accident was reported along State Highway 3 just outside Rushville in Rush County, Indiana.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police said 25-year-old Kevin F. Neuman was killed when the SUV he was in allegedly drove over the center line of State Highway 3 when it collided with a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics pronounced Neuman dead of his injuries at the scene of the collision. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Darnell Nesbit, who was treated for unspecified injuries at the scene.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Rushville, which is about 49 miles southeast of downtown Indianapolis.

Police are still investigating the collision.
