Details:
On or about Sunday, November 14th, 20121, around 4:440 in the morning, an accident between a van and a tractor-trailer left two men dead. Troopers from the LSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 20 just outside Waverly in Madison Parish, Louisiana.
Authorities from the area said 24-year-old Khetag Gussaidi and 26-year-old Aleksandar Nozharov were killed when the van they were in allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer that had pulled into their path from the shoulder of I-20. Emergency responders pronounced Gussaidi and Nozharov dead of their injuries a short time after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 62-year-old Ronnie Davis, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 runs east and west just south of Waverly, which is about 170 miles north of Baton Rouge.
Officials are still looking into the cause of the accident.
