On or about Friday, April 22nd, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a serious two-vehicle car accident left one woman dead and sent a child to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 84 and Farm-to-Market 211 in Post, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 37-year-old Kimberly Meagan Craig was killed and a young passenger in her vehicle was injured when a pickup truck allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 84 and FM 211. Emergency responders pronounced Craig dead after the accident, while a young passenger in the vehicle was rushed to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Police identified the driver of the pickup truck as 58-year-old Oswald Ramirez, who was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officials are still trying to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
