On or about Tuesday, February 9th, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a delivery van and a pickup truck left a 22-year-old man injured. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident happened on Highway 190 West near Craig Street in Jasper, Texas.

Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said 22-year-old Kobi Kade Evans was injured when his pickup truck was allegedly hit by a FedEx van that moved into the lane of traffic from the crossover. Evans’ pickup truck rolled off the road after the accident and sustained unspecified injuries. Police identified the driver of the FedEx van as Juan Hernandez Garcia, who was unhurt in the accident.

The pickup truck came to rest in a grassy patch in front of Kindred Hospice after it rolled several times.

Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
