Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 31st, 2021, around 12:40 in the morning, an accident between a car and a parked work truck left a 23-year-old man dead. Police said the accident was reported in the 16200 block of Bernardo Heights Parkway in Rancho Bernardo, California.
Investigators said 23-year-old Kolton Charles Malbrough was killed when his Chevrolet Corvette allegedly struck a parked work truck. Paramedics rushed Malbrough to Palomar Medical Center Escondido Hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement.
Bernardo Heights Parkway winds east and west through Rancho Bernardo, which is about 24 miles north of downtown San Diego.
California Highway Patrol are assisting in the accident investigation.
