On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, an accident between a motorcycle, a car and a dump truck claimed the life of a 21-year-old Columbia man. Deputies from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Route 72 and Quarry Road in East Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.

Investigators said 21-year-old Konnor Lowman was killed when the motorcycle he was driving and another vehicle collided under unknown circumstances, causing the vehicles to collide with a nearby dump truck, which was stopped on Quarry Road. Lowman was pronounced dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital.

According to Google Maps, East Hempfield Township is about 80 miles west of downtown Philadelphia.

Police are still working to pin down the sequence of events leading to the accident.
