Details:
On or about Sunday, December 26th, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one woman dead and sent another person to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 90 just outside Belgrade, Montana.
Authorities said 27-year-old Krysti Hoskins was killed and one other individual was injured when the car they were in allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was parked on I-90 in whiteout blizzard conditions. Officials did not specify if the tractor-trailer was parked on the shoulder or if it was parked in a lane of traffic. Emergency responders pronounced Hoskins dead of her injuries a short time after the collision. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 runs east and west along the south edge of Belgrade, which is about 89 miles southeast of Helena.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
