Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, around 2:54 in the afternoon, an accident between a Mack truck and a heavy duty pickup left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Troopers from the ASP said the accident happened on the southbound side of Highway 67 in Bradford, Arkansas.
Deputies from the White County Sheriff’s Office said 65-year-old Larry Dedeaux was killed when the Mack truck he was driving allegedly rear-ended a Ford F-650 driven by 44-year-old John Nickels Covel. Both vehicles left the roadway after the initial collision. Paramedics pronounced Dedeaux dead a short time after the accident. Covel was taken to Unity Health/UAMS Hospital with unknown injuries.
Highway 67 runs north and south through the area just south of Bradford, which is about 72 miles northwest of Little Rock.
Arkansas State Police assisted with the accident investigation.
