Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 20th, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, a major dump truck accident with a passenger vehicle left a 63-year-old man dead. Troopers from the WVHP said the accident was reported along Route 20 in Upshur County, West Virginia.
Authorities said 63-year-old Larry Green was killed when his car was allegedly hit by a dump truck while driving down Route 20. Emergency responders pronounced Green dead of his injuries after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Police have since identified the driver of the dump truck as Richard Marple, who has since been charged with negligent homicide in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is a short distance from Buckhannon.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
