Details:
On or about Monday, July 12th, 2021, around 2:45 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a heavy-duty pickup truck towing a trailer left three people dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident occurred along County Road 211 just outside Denver City in Gaines County, Texas.
Investigators said 40-year-old Laura Marin, 64-year-old Rosalva Marin and 16-year-old Alexis Zamarippa were killed when the SUV they were in and a heavy-duty pickup truck towing a trailer collided head-on when one of them crossed over the center line of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced Laura and Rosalva Marin dead of their injuries after the accident, while Zamarippa was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, County Road 211 runs north and south through Gaines County, with the scene of the accident situated not far from Denver City.
