Details:
On or about Saturday, January 1st, 2022, around 4:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a parked pickup truck, and a residence sent one woman to the hospital. Deputies from the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on State Street in Fort Scott, Kansas.
Local law enforcement personnel said 37-year-old Laura Marievel Delatorre was injured when the tractor-trailer she was a passenger in allegedly veered off the side of the road and struck a parked pickup truck occupied by three people before the tractor-trailer crashed into a nearby residence on State Street. Paramedics transported Delatorre to a nearby hospital in order to be treated for serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, Fort Scott is about 152 miles east of downtown WIchita.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
