On or about Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital. Authorities from the VSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Hanover County, Virginia.
Law enforcement representatives said 22-year-old Lauren Ott was injured when the passenger vehicle she was driving allegedly hydroplaned into a tractor-trailer along I-40. Paramedics transported Ott to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the collision.
Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Elione Sengabo, who was cited for cited for driving a truck in the left lane of the interstate. Ott was cited by authorities for reckless driving with failure to maintain control of a vehicle in connection with the collision.
Police are still investigating the accident.
