Details:
On or about June 22nd, 2022, around 7:39 in the evening, a major accident between a box truck and an SUV left a Milwaukee man dead. Spokespeople from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 94 in Lake County, Illinois.
Representatives from the Illinois State Police said 66-year-old Lawrence Stone was killed when the box truck he was driving allegedly hit an SUV along Interstate 94. After the initial impact, the box truck burst into flames. Emergency responders pronounced Stone dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident, while the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Gurnee.
Police are still investigating.
