Details:
On or about Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, around 10:40 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left a 51-year-old woman dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 40 in Potter County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives from the Texas DPS said 51-year-old Leanna Kaye McInnish was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 40. Emergency responders pronounced McInnish dead of her injuries a short time after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of Amarillo.
Authorities are still looking into the accident.
