Details:
On or about Monday, September 13th, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck and a heavy-duty truck left one person dead and sent two other people to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 77 just outside Rockdale in Milam County, Texas.
Police from the area said 51-year-old Lena Jean Jackson was killed when her Dodge Ram was allegedly struck by a Ford F-250 while she was turning across Highway 77. Paramedics pronounced Jackson dead a short time after the accident, while the driver and passenger in the F-250 were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated two miles south of Rockdale, which is about 58 miles northwest of downtown Austin.
Police are still investigating.
