On or about Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a pickup truck and a truck towing a trailer left one man injured. Authorities from local law enforcement agencies said the accident was reported along Highway 87 in Jasper County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 73-year-old Leon Roff was injured when the pickup truck he was driving was allegedly hit by another pickup truck towing a trailer along Highway 87. Paramedics rushed Roff to St. Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Trout Creek.
Authorities are still examining the crash.
