Details:
On or about Thursday, February 25th, 2021, around 8:14 in the morning, an accident between a car and two tractor-trailers left a 21-year-old woman dead. Officials from the ISP said the accident happened at the intersection of East 2600 and North 800 near Monteview in Jefferson County, Idaho.
Police said 21-year-old Leora Johnson was killed when a tractor-trailer driven by Justin Pierce allegedly struck her car, pushing it into a second 18-wheeler driven by Michael Kuyper. Paramedics pronounced Johnson dead a short time after the accident. Pierce was taken by EMS to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
The scene of the accident is about 100 miles north of Pocatello, according to Google Maps.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the accident investigation.
