On or about April 1st, 2022, around 8:30 in the evening, a major hit-and-run car accident left a 37-year-old man dead. Local law enforcement personnel said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 290 in Bastrop County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 37-year-old Leslie Loving was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 290. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Loving dead a short time after the accident.
