On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 8:35 in the morning, a serious accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent a 36-year-old man to the hospital. Officers from the area said the accident was reported along Route 33 near the exchange with Darl Road in Good Hope Township, Ohio.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 36-year-old Levi Ely was seriously hurt when a tractor-trailer allegedly pulled into the path of Ely’s pickup truck along Route 33. Emergency responders transported Ely to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Good Hope Township is about 43 miles south of downtown Columbus.
Officials are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
