On or about Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, around 6:15 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left a 21-year-old man dead. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along Highway 67 in Jefferson County, Missouri.

Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said 21-year-old Levi Rey was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer on Highway 67. Emergency responders pronounced Rey dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the collision. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Juan Jose Almanza-Yepez, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Festus.

Police are still looking into the cause of the incident.
