Details:
On or about Saturday, November 26th, 2021, around 10:50 at night, a major accident between a suspected drunk driver and a car left a man and woman dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Drive and Moorebrook Drive in Houston, Texas.
Investigators said 60-year-old Lilia Angón and 62-year-old Sabina Angón Martinez were killed when a pickup truck allegedly struck the car they were in as they were turning at the intersection of Moorebrook Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive. Lilia Angón died at the scene, while Sabine Angón Martinez died a short time after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
Officials said the driver of the pickup truck displayed signs of intoxication following the accident. Emergency responders transported them to a nearby hospital where he was last reported in critical condition by medical staff.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
