On or about Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, around 7:58 in the evening, an accident between a car and a farm tractor left a 77-year-old Corning woman dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident happened along the northbound side of Highway 135 in Clay County, Arkansas.
Arkansas State Police said 77-year-old Linda Johnson was killed when her car allegedly slammed into the back of a John Deere tractor that was being driven in the northbound lane of the highway. Johnson died of her injuries a short time after the accident, but officials did not specify if she died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital.
Highway 135 runs north and south through Clay County, which is about 172 miles northwest of Little Rock, according to Google Maps.
Police are still investigating the accident.
