On or about Friday, November 26th, 2021, around 2:15 in the afternoon, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a car left a 73-year-old woman dead. Representatives from the DPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Ferguson Road and Highwood Drive in Dallas, Texas.
Authorities from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said 73-year-old Linda Pearson was killed when she was allegedly struck by a Chevrolet Impala that police believe may have been racing a Chevrolet Camaro as she was walking along or attempted to cross the street. The Impala that struck Pearson fled the scene after the incident. Emergency responders pronounced Pearson dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Ferguson Road and Highwood Drive is on the northeast side of Dallas.
Police are still looking for the vehicles that fled the scene.
