On or about Thursday, December 16th, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 67-year-old woman. Deputies from the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along 627th Avenue near the exchange with Main Street in Pemberton, Minnesota.
Troopers from the Minnesota State Police said 67-year-old Linda Shell was killed when the car she was driving was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as she may have been attempting to cross or turn across the roadway. Paramedics pronounced Shell dead o her injuries a short time after the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the collision in their statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 15 miles southeast of Mankato.
