Details:
On or about Monday, June 7th, 2021, around 10:20 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left two people dead. Department of Public Safety officials said the accident was reported on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 in Odessa, Texas.
Police said 23-year-old Jarod Clement and 48-year-old Lionso Rodriguez were killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was slowing in traffic. After the initial collision, the pickup truck burst into flames. Rodriguez and Clement were pronounced dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 runs east and west through the center of Odessa.
Texas DPS Troopers assisted at the scene of the accident.
