On or about Thursday, November 17th, 2021, around 8:55 in the morning, an accident between a Chevrolet Equinox SUV and a box truck sent a 42-year-old woman to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople from the area said the accident was reported on the New York State Thruway in Dewitt, New York.
Police said 42-year-old Lisa Lerche was taken to the hospital for evaluation when a box truck allegedly changed lanes and struck the Chevrolet Equinox she was riding in. After the initial collision, the SUV veered off the side of the New York State Thruway and rolled. Emergency responders transported Lerche to the hospital for evaluation related to her pregnancy after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 90 (New York State Thruway) runs east and west along the northern edge of Dewitt.
Police are still looking into the accident.
