On or about Monday, November 9th, 2020, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a farm truck and a tractor-trailer sent a 24-year-old man to the hospital. Investigators said the accident happened at the intersection of Mentor Road and Woodward Road near Walnut in Saline County, Kansas.

Authorities said 24-year-old Logan Ade was injured when his farm truck was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that failed to yield at the intersection. Ade’s farm truck struck the broad side of the trailer, which was hauling soybeans. Paramedics transported Ade to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Michael Jenson, who did not report injuries.

Looking at the intersection on Google Streetview shows that Woodward and Mentor are both gravel roads, and that Woodward Road is controlled by a stop sign at the intersection. Saline County is about 90 miles north of Wichita.

Officials expect to release more information when it becomes available.
