On or about March 7th, 2022, a major hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a dump truck left a 76-year-old woman dead. Officers from the NYPD said the accident was reported along Hutchinson River Parkway near the Einstein Loop North in The Bronx, New York.

Officials from the area said 76-year-old Lola Blair was killed when she was allegedly hit by a dump truck as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the Hutchinson River Parkway. After the intiial accident, the dump truck fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed Blair to a nearby hospital where he died of her injuries a short time after her arrival.

Police have since arrested 62-year-old Vincent Francis and charged him with  charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to use due care in connection with the accident.
