On or about Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, around 10:10 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 27-year-old woman to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 35 in Schertz, Texas.
Deputies from the Comal County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Lorelei Nuckols was injured was injured when the Ford Fiesta she was driving was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer when she stopped or slowed for traffic. Emergency responders transported Nuckols to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the collision. The driver of the tractor-trailer may have been injured as well.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 35 cuts north and south through the northern edge of Schertz, which is located about 22 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.
Multiple agencies from the surrounding area assisted at the scene of the accident.
