On or about Saturday, March 12th, 2022, around 4:42 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a 27-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Lopez Road in Willacy County, Texas.
Investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 27-year-old Lorenzo Garcia Jr. was killed when the vehicle he was driving allegedly drove off the side of Lopez road and rolled a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Garcia dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Willacy County is a short distance north of Harlingen.
Officials are still working to pin down what happened in the accident.
