On or about Friday, December 17th, 2021, around 2:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car resulted in a fatal pedestrian accident in the moments after. Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police said the accident was reported along Route 22 in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania.
Law enforcement personnel said 47-year-old Lori Ann Dickey was killed when she was allegedly struck by a motorist when she may have exited her vehicle following a collision with a tractor-trailer accident. Emergency responders pronounced Dickey dead a short time after the incident, but it is not clear if she died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, Hanover Township is about 116 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
