Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 7:10 in the evening, an accident with an alleged drunk driver and a passenger vehicle left two people dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along West Little York near Bannister Lane in Houston, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said Lucinda Cruz and one other person were killed when a pickup truck allegedly crossed over the center line of the roadway on West Little York when it struck a Kia passenger vehicle in the oncoming lanes. Emergency responders pronounced Cruz and one other person dead a short time after the accident.
Authorities identified the driver of the pickup truck as Sergio Davilla-Rodriguez, who police believe may have been impaired at the time of the accident.
Police are still investigating the incident.
