On or about Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, around 7:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 46-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 6 in Robertson County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said 46-year-old Luis Gomez was killed when the van he was riding in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as Gomez was turning out of a driveway along Highway 6. Paramedics pronounced Gomez dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Emergency responders transported the driver of the van and four other passengers to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Robertson County is about 101 miles northeast of downtown Austin.
