Details:
On or about Sunday, June 19th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a major single-vehicle car accident left a man and a child dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 84 in Goldthwaite, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said Luis Miguel Castillo and an as-of-yet unidentified child were killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 84 and slammed into a tree a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Castillo and the child dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 84 winds east and west through Goldthwaite.
Officials are still investigating.
