On or about Thursday, September 9th, 2021, around 10:35 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle claimed the life of a 42-year-old Carthage man. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 79 and County Road 329 in Panola County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 42-year-old Lukebra Allison was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his motorcycle while turning at the intersection of County Road 329 and Highway 79. Paramedics pronounced Allison dead a short time after the accident, but it is not currently clear if he died at the scene or after being taken to a nearby hospital. Officials identified the truck driver as Fabian Chapa-Chapa, who was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Panola County is about 159 miles east of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating.
