Details:
On or about Monday, December 7th, 2020, around 5:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a minivan and a heavy duty pickup truck claimed the life of a 62-year-old Blytheville woman. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 in rural Mississippi County, Arkansas.
Arkansas State Police said 62-year-old Luvenia Trainer was killed when the minivan she was driving was allegedly hit by a Ford F-550 pickup truck. Investigators believe the van may have been attempting to make a U-turn from the northbound shoulder when it was hit by the truck. Trainer died of her injuries a short time after the collision.
Authorities identified the driver of the Ford F-550 as 37-year-old Kevin Sanders, who was taken to Regional One hospital with unspecified injuries.
Troopers said the road conditions were dry at the time of the accidnet.
Multiple agencies are still investigating.
