On or about Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, around 3:24 in the afternoon, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a 69-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the VSP said the accident was reported along Route 7 in Leicester, Vermont.
Deputies from the Addison County Sheriff’s Office said 69-year-old Lyudmila Cushing was killed when the Honda CRV she was driving was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Norman Arnold along Route 7. Emergency responders pronounced Cushing dead of her injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, Leicester is located roughly 61 miles southwest of downtown Montpelier.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
