Details:
On or about Saturday, May 7th, 2022, around 1:50 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a police patrol vehicle left a 24-year-old woman dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in McLennan County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 24-year-old Maddison Lassetter was killed when she was allegedly hit by a McLennan County Sheriff’s Department vehicle as she was walking alongside or tried to cross I-35. Officials said the police vehicle was on the way to a call at the time of the incident. Emergency responders pronounced Lassetter dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Lorena.
