On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 26-year-old man. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Temperance Avenue not far from North Avenue near Fowler in Fresno County, California.
Law enforcement spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said 26-year-old Malik Blakeney was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his vehicle while he was making a turn off Temperance Avenue. Emergency responders Blakeney dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident was reported a short distance from Fowler, which is southeast of downtown Fresno.
Police are still investigating the accident.
