On or about Thursday, October 15th, 2020, around 7:41 in the morning, a chain-reaction accident between a dump truck and four cars claimed the life of a 41-year-old man. The accident happened at the intersection of Yellowstone Highway and N 25th East in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

State Troopers have said that 41-year-old Marco Vargas Arteaga was killed when the Chevrolet Cobalt he was driving was hit by a dump-truck that allegedly turned from Yellowstone Highway onto North 25th East. After the initial collision, the dump truck continued in a southbound direction and struck three other cars.

First responders pronounced Arteaga dead at the scene from his injuries.

On Google Maps, Yellowstone Highway, also known as U.S. 26, is a four lane major thoroughfare that runs northeast and southwest. North 25th East. The intersection is protected by a stoplight.

Idaho State Police are assisting local authorities with the accident investigation.
