On or about Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, around 8:45 at night, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 55-year-old Ozark man. Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred along Vine Prairie Road in Mulberry, Arkansas.
Authorities said 55-year-old Marcus Brian Hill was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly drove off the side of Vine Prairie Road and crashed into the Arkansas River. Emergency responders pulled Hill from the water and pronounced him dead a short time after the incident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Mulberry is about 136 miles northeast of downtown Little Rock.
Officials are still examining the circumstances that led to the accident.
